Jets:LEARN playing on in 2021

While COVID-19 may be keeping us safe at home, it won’t stop the Newcastle Jets from staying connected with their fans through the Jets:LEARN program.

Supported by Greater Bank, the program provides primary school students the opportunity to not only get out and be active, but also improve their football skills through programs developed and delivered by their favourite Newcastle Jets players.

COVID restrictions resulted in the program moving online last season, which opened it up to 80 schools and more than 2500 students. This year, the aim is to expand even further with the program being open to primary schools across NSW and beyond.

With the end of the year approaching and the weather getting warmer, this is the perfect time to give students the chance to get outside, have some fun and improve their football skills under the guidance of their favourite A-League and W-League stars.

Getting underway in Term Four, the online program will feature four-weeks of lessons that includes instructional videos, a lesson plan for teachers and a worksheet to track results. The content also aligns with the Stage 3 (Year 5 & 6) PDHPE curriculum.

As a further incentive to get involved, the first 20 schools to register will get the opportunity to chat and interact with Jets players via a Zoom session, PLUS a FREE Greater Bank Sports Pack that includes 10 large footballs and other training gear for their school.

If you’d like your child’s primary or high school to get involved, find out more and register your interest now at greater.com.au/jetslearn.
