“Greater is proud to be a part of this iconic event, which brings together the best of our local talent and the vibrant community that supports them,” said Emma.

“We’re excited to help create an atmosphere full of energy and enthusiasm. The grandstand will offer spectacular views, and with a big-screen in place, every play will be easy to see. Live commentary will also enhance the experience for those watching from home.

“In addition to the on-court action, we’ve got plenty lined up for younger spectators, including face-painting and food trucks.

“We’re looking forward to a full house of supporters, bringing their energy to the athletes on the court. But for those who can’t be there in person, the full event will be live-streamed on YouTube.”

Newcastle Netball Association President, Cheryl Hernando, praised the high level of competition throughout the 2024 season, making this year’s grand finals especially thrilling.

“We were lucky to get all our Tri Series rounds played this year, with all of the wet weather, and there has been some very close games,” said Cheryl.

“All of our teams are made up of home-grown players, many of whom play in the State’s Premier League and Metro League competitions in Sydney during the week. They still look forward to coming home to Newcastle to play on a Saturday – and that is what makes our game so special.

“We encourage the entire community to get out to the courts and enjoy the live atmosphere this weekend – you will get three games of the highest quality netball, with plenty of other games being played around the courts.

“Of course, we once again thank the Greater Bank for their long-standing commitment to our sport. Their long-term backing allows us to make this competition the spectacular it deserves to be and helps us nurture and develop our talent at all levels.”

Greater Bank’s support of Newcastle Netball Association now spans more than two decades, with its ongoing partnership playing a pivotal role in player pathway and development.
