Greater Bank back on board with regional sports academies

Young netballers from three regional sports academies will again benefit from a partnership with Greater Bank, exposing the talented athletes to high-level coaching and mentorship as part of the Netball NSW pathway.

Almost 100 players and umpires have been selected in the Hunter Academy of Sport, Central Coast Academy of Sport and Western Region Academy of Sport netball programs, with the collaboration of  the four organisations a collective effort to elevate netball beyond the grassroots level.

As well as regional squad training, the athletes benefit from structured programs and financial education where they are equipped with the tools to thrive on and off court.

Chief Distribution Officer Emma Brokate said that Greater Bank was proud to continue the Academy partnership.

“The netball and netball umpires programs provide so much more than skills development,” Emma said.

“They also promote teamwork, leadership, and work ethic, helping these athletes grow into confident young adults.

“We can’t wait to see what they achieve this year!”

Following their participation in the Netball NSW High Performance Camp earlier in March, all three squads are now preparing for April’s Your Local Club Academy Games tournament in April and the Netball NSW Academy Challenge later this year.
