Emergency relief package

In response to the devastating bushfires throughout NSW and QLD, we’re offering a range of relief solutions for our customers in affected areas. We understand that this is a stressful time, and while banking is probably the last thing on our customer’s minds, it’s important to know that assistance is available.

Our Emergency relief package will allow customers directly impacted to:

  • access funds in term deposits without impacting the interest rate payable
  • redraw funds from an applicable home loan at a branch without fees (customers are already able to redraw fee-free via internet banking)
  • negotiate changes to scheduled loan repayments via our Hardship program

Customers who have purchased insurance through Greater Bank and need to make a claim are advised to notify our insurance partner, Allianz, as soon as possible by visiting www.allianzclaims.com.au or calling the claims line on 1300 555 030.

Our relief package is available to customers affected by bushfires throughout NSW and South East QLD, effective immediately, and until further notice.

Any customers needing assistance should contact their local branch or our contact centre on 1300 651 400 to discuss their options so we can help identify which emergency relief options might be suitable for their individual circumstances.

Customers are also advised that while bushfire activity remains at emergency and catastrophic levels throughout areas of NSW that there may be further Greater Bank branch closures, in the interest of staff and customer safety. Any branch closures will be advised by via Greater Bank’s social channels. Greater Bank customers not wishing to visit a branch during bushfire activity are able to do their banking anywhere, anytime via Online Banking or our Mobile App.
